Shammah Global Placements was established with a motive to help qualified, dedicated and deserving educators to relocate to the United States to teach in Elementary, Middle and High Schools of different school districts. SGP works with an American partner company in finding teaching positions in various School districts, arrange interviews with the school principals, train the teachers to crack the interview, and help the teacher with their paper work and proper documentation after they are selected. Guidance will also be provided for visa interviews and booking the visa slots.

 

Unique Pre-selection

All the applicants will have to face a preliminary interview conducted by one of our team members. This is to assess the English Proficiency of the teachers. We want to make sure that you have good communication skills both written and oral before we send your resumes to the School Principals. The teachers who get shortlisted in this interview will be moved to the next level of the hiring process.

Training to the teachers

The short listed teachers will be given intensive training to face the interviews confidently with the School Principals or the HR Departments. The possible questions that can be asked by the principals and the right or suitable answers that teachers need to give will be discussed by our experts. A few mock interviews will also be conducted before the teachers face the final interview.

The classroom management is a very important aspect in the U.S. schools.
We will provide training to the selected teachers about the following topics during this orientation
1. How your classroom should look like?
2. Strategies that work in the U.S. classrooms for effective teaching.
3. How to deal with the disruptive kids.
4. Making lesson plans
5. Developing rapport with the kids
6. Connecting with the parents
7. Developing good relation with the American colleagues and the principal.
8. Use of the resources to make the learning interesting.
9. Participating in mandatory cross cultural activity
10. Answering questions, if any, from the teachers

Oreintation

The lucky teachers who get selected for the teaching positions will be given a comprehensive orientation before the leave for the United States. The topics covered during this orientation will be
1. Housing
2. Transport options to reach the school from the home.
3. Health Insurance
4. Obtaining Social Security Number
5. American culture
6. Options for sending money to India
7. Things to be carried to the U.S. from India
8. Answer any other questions that the teachers may have

Our Story

We are a team of educators who have worked in various school districts in the United States for many years. Each year the teacher shortage is growing in the United States due to various reasons like teacher retirements, lack of qualified teachers etc. This has opened the doors for qualified foreign teachers to work in the U.S. schools. This encouraged us to come up with an idea to provide teaching opportunities to teachers from India. Using our vast experience in the U.S. school system we made efforts to make connections with our American partners to create a hassle free route for the Indian teachers to step into the American classrooms.
