Christu Kumar Gadde

Mr. Christu Kumar has been an educator for more than two decades. He worked in various B.Ed colleges in India as a lecturer and later on he moved to the United States to work as a Special Education teacher for nearly a decade. After returning from the U.S. he has decided to help the teachers aspiring to work in the United States by using his vast experience and knowledge about the American school system. To fill the vacant teaching positions in shortage areas in the United States and to make the dream come true for the teachers in India to teach in the American classrooms Shammah Global Placements was established by Mr.Gadde.
MY EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER IN THE US;
“Working as a Special Education teacher on a J1 visa in South Carolina for more than a decade participating two times in the cultural exchange program I had a unique and enriching experience.
South Carolina is known for its hospitality which I found to be very true after working and living there. I got a chance to interact with fellow teachers from various backgrounds and different countries. My conferences with the parents of my students gave me a greater insight into the lives and culture of the people living there. I also had my challenges in adjusting to the new place, new education system, new environment and the expectations from the school. I could successfully overcome those challenges within a short span of time due to the support and cooperation that I received from my J1 sponsor, my colleagues, school management and the students. I got a chance to share about Indian culture like Indian cuisines, traditional dresses in various Indian states, various languages spoken in each state and various Indian festivals that are celebrated and many other things with the community where I used to live and also with the neighboring communities in South Carolina.
Overall, it was a rewarding experience working as teacher under Cultural Exchange Program in the United States”

Mr. Solomon Raj is a professor in a reputed college teaching MBA students for the past 15 years and is a co-founder of Shammah Global Placements. He works closely with our American partner agencies who help us to relocate the teachers in different states of the U.S. He also coordinates with the Human Resource departments of various school districts in America to identify the vacant teaching positions where we can place our teachers.

Ravi Kumar Patankar

Mr. Patankar is a Science teacher who has worked in different schools in different states of America for over many years. He is not only a successful science teacher in the U.S. but also an expert in the classroom management techniques which he learnt and developed to succeed in the American classrooms. At SGP Mr.Patankar conducts training sessions for the shortlisted teachers before the final interview with the school principals and gives comprehensive orientation to the selected teachers before their departure to the United States.
MY EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER IN THE US;
“I had the opportunity to work as a Science teacher under the Cultural Exchange Program in the United States. I taught in Connecticut (2007- 09), South Carolina (2011-12) and in Texas (2015 -17) and (2019-23). While working in the US schools I could showcase my skills as an effective teacher in bringing the best out of my students, share the values of diverse Indian culture and also learn many good things about the American culture. Jl program helped me to hone my teaching skills through various professional development sessions arranged by the School Districts where I learnt to use technology in classroom teaching for which sufficient training was provided by the school. I can say that by working as teacher on a Jl program I not only taught the subject but also learnt some innovative methods of teaching.
It was a truly great experience that has transformed me into a more confident and enthusiastic teacher”

Dr. Gallishaw has been working in the U.S. school system for more than 15 years giving Guidance Assistance, as a Business Education Teacher and the Director of Education. She identifies the available teaching positions in various school districts by coordinating with the Human Resource Departments and Principals to place our teachers. Apart from this Dr. Gallishaw helps our teachers in understanding the U.S. School system, the curriculum and all the planning the teacher has to do to be successful in the classroom.
